Curran Middle School has been placed on lock down and southwest Bakersfield houses are being evacuated after a suspicious briefcase was found this morning. The Kern County Sheriff’s Office Bomb squad is onsite after the case was found near someone’s front door on Reno Avenue around 7 a.m. The incident is on-going.
