The man charged with killing a mother and her five-year-old son in a drunk driving crash in Lamont has pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder. The CHP says Daniel Mejia slammed their Jeep on Highway 99 and Taft Highway last November as a tire was being changed, causing it to flip and catch fire. The victims were trapped inside.
