A Bakersfield man suspected of slamming a baby into a bathtub in a viral Facebook video has been charged with child abuse in Arizona. Virgil Mitchell was already in custody in Maricopa County when he was charged Thursday for last week’s attack in Phoenix.

The Kern County Sheriff’s Office has dropped their investigation because the incident happened out of state.
