A three-year-old Oildale boy who was hit and dragged by a car has walked away with minor injuries.

The boy was playing on his scooter around 7:30 Tuesday night outside his home on El Tejon Avenue and Muir Drive when his aunt backed out of the driveway. The child got trapped under the car and was dragged a few feet before she stopped.

Other relatives got the boy out while the aunt stayed on scene to make sure he was okay. An ambulance was called but not needed.
