A man is being treated for major injuries after he was hit by a pickup truck on southbound Highway 99 near White Lane. The CHP says the victim hopped a fence and darted into traffic just before 8:30 Tuesday night and the driver could not stop in time. Officers are investigating whether the victim was intoxicated.
