Sheriff’s deputies are investigating after a body was found inside an abandoned car near Delano.

The CHP discovered the man before 2:00 Monday afternoon when they opened the trunk in an orchard on Zerker Road and 9th Avenue. There are no suspects, and it’s unclear how long the vehicle has been parked there.
