District Attorney Lisa Green is not filing charges against immigration agents for a crash that killed a Delano couple.

Green told reporters Wednesday her findings were based on the police report that said Santo and Marcelina Garcia’s SUV was speeding when it hit a pole on Cecil Avenue March 13th. ICE agents told police the driver sped away from a traffic stop as they searched for another man and they were on scene after the crash, and Green says video surveillance appears to back that up.

The United Farm Workers union is speaking out against Green’s decision, saying the Delano Police report clearly shows inconsistencies in the ICE agents’ statements as well as on video.
