County firefighters have put out a two-alarm fire that gutted a vacant apartment complex in Mojave. It’s unclear what sparked the wind-driven fire Monday afternoon on Myer Road off Highway 58.

It happened a few hours before another fire at a vacant apartment complex on Victor Avenue and Lucille Street, which burned earlier this month.
