Police have released a surveillance photo and mugshot of the man who held up the Wells Fargo Bank on California Avenue in central Bakersfield. He’s identified as 59-year-old Lawrence Cherry, who’s 6-foot-1 and has white beard and long white hair. He got away with cash around noon on Saturday after handing the teller a note.
