The man who killed another driver in a head-on DUI crash on Taft Highway in Bakersfield has been sentenced to 15 years to life in prison.

Carlos Garcia pleaded no contest to second-degree murder last month for drifting into opposing traffic near Stine Road and hitting 25-year-old Francisco De La Cruz in 2017.

Garcia had previously been convicted of a DUI in 2011.
