The man charged with stabbing a McFarland Police officer in the face has been found incompetent to stand trial and will spend the next three years in a mental hospital. Martin Hernandez is also accused of stabbing his mother with a fork during an argument then barricading himself inside their Melgar Avenue home last year.

The officer was treated for moderate injuries.
