Two Cal State Bakersfield athletes have been nominated for the NCAA Woman of the Year award.

Volleyball player Sydney Haynes and long distance runner Angel Valdez are among the 581 athletes across the country who are being recognized for their academics, athletics, and service and leadership abilities. They’ll know by September if the awards committee chooses either one.
