MGM Resorts International has announced plans to sue 1,000 victims of the Route 91 Festival shooting, where five people with ties to Kern County were killed and many others wounded. The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports the company that owns the Mandalay Bay resort and hosts the country music festival believes it’s not liable for what happened October 1st because security officers prevented more people from getting shot.

The company is not suing for any money.
