DEADLY HEAT WAVE

The heat has claimed the life of at least one person in Kern County. Chief Resident of Emergency Medicine at Kern Medical Dr. Larissa Morsky says waves of people needing treatment keep coming, with quite a few seriously overheated. She says dehydration or heat stroke can happen any time of the day. About two weeks ago a man in his twenties arrived at the hospital with a temperature of 111 degrees and died.
