KCSO HQ PACKED FOR NATL NIGHT OUT

There was a huge turnout for the National Night Out at cities across Kern County, including at Sheriff’s headquarters in Oildale. Sheriff Donny Youngblood was pleased to see the hundreds adults and children getting involved with the activities and interacting with law enforcement Tuesday night. “This is our opportunity to spend time with the community we serve in a different environment, in a different light, communicate with them, take pictures with them. The kids, they show such an interest.” 500 hundred hot dogs and an unknown number of snow-cones were consumed, and 105 kids got their picture and ID information in the first 45 minutes.
