Bakersfield Police say a 13-year-old girl is hospitalized with moderate injuries after running into the path of a car on Akers Road. The accident around 8:10 Wednesday morning was next to Stone Creek Junior High and officers say she was outside the crosswalk. The driver stayed at the scene to help.
