TINY CREEK FIRE A BIG CONCERN

Firefighters are still working a small brush fire in Lake Isabella near where the devastating Erskine Fire destroyed hundreds of homes two years ago. The Bureau of Land Management says the Creek Fire has burned about six acres since yesterday [wed] and is 50-percent contained. It broke out around 4:30 Wednesday afternoon off Erskine Creek Road and Pasadena Lane, and Forest Service firefighters and their heavy equipment assigned to the nearby Call Fire were quickly diverted. Kern County Fire also deployed about 20 personnel at the scene.
