UFW GETTING NEW PRESIDENT

The United Farm Workers union is getting its first woman president. Teresa Romero will also be the first immigrant to lead the organization, founded by civil rights leaders Cesar Chavez and Dolores Huerta in Kern County, when current president Arturo Rodriguez retires in December.

The UFW has 10,000 members across the United States.
