The BPD Major Collision unit is investigating a crash involving a police patrol car. It happened Saturday afternoon as officers were responding to a ShotSpotter activation on Niles Street east of Monterey Street in east Bakersfield.

Neither officer was hurt. The driver of the second car was taken to a hospital with knee pain.
