The CHP says drunk driving may be to blame for a fatal crash on State Route 184 in Lamont.

55-year-old Gilbert Lorta, who was not wearing a seatbelt, slammed his sedan into the back of a stopped SUV that was waiting to turn near Mountain View Road Saturday night.

Everyone in the SUV had minor injuries.
