A man has died in a head-on crash on Highway 43 and Stockdale Highway west of Bakersfield.

The CHP says a sedan driver going south was reaching for a water bottle when he started swerving towards the right hand shoulder, overcorrected, then hit the victim’s car just before 4:15 Tuesday afternoon.
