A 24-year-old man with a felony warrant for kidnapping, robbery, making criminal threats and assault is still on the run after escaping a SWAT standoff in Taft. News reports say deputies spotted a man matching the description of Eduardo Lopez Sunday on Madison Street, where the home was then surrounded for several hours, they think Lopez slipped out the back. He also faces charges of resisting arrest.
