The Kern Law Enforcement Association is hosting its annual Veterans Day Breakfast at the American Legion Hall this morning in downtown Bakersfield. Deputies and their families cook and serve up the hot food starting at 6am at no cost for vets and $5 for everyone else. The event precedes the Bakersfield Veterans Parade at 10:00 and is often followed by a fundraising BBQ. American Legion Post 26 is on H Street across from the Fox Theater.
