A Bakersfield man who killed a 22-year-old woman when he slammed into her car at 120mph has lost his appeal to overturn his murder conviction. Alex Rubio was convicted of hitting Princess Almonidovar while he was drunk after running a red light on Ming Avenue at New Stine Road at 3am January 2014. He was sentenced to 15-years-to life in 2016.
