The man who died in a shooting in south Bakersfield has been identified as 25-year-old Jose Deleon, while the name of a Lamont shooting victim is being withheld.The Bakersfield victim was wounded around 10:00 Sunday night on Mint Street, which is off Ming Avenue and South H Street, a motive for the shooting is unknown. The coroner’s office says it is withholding the name of the man who was shot to death Monday morning in Lamont, pending notification of next of kin. Deputies say the victim was found around 1am on Velma and Elmco Avenues after his vehicle struck a fence and a water line, and a passenger was hospitalized with major injuries.
