DWR: Southern Sierra Snowpack Well Above Average

The California Department of Water Resources says the Southern Sierra Snowpack stands at 146-percent of average for this date.

That’s about the water-snow equivalent of 31-inches of snow. Statewide, the Sierras are at 153-percent of average for this date. The agency conducted its monthly water survey and right the verdict is that California is in excellent shape for water so far, with more storms on the way.
