Chamberlin to Stay Behind Bars

A man convicted of stabbing his mother 35 times when he was 15-year-old will continue to serve a 26-years-to life prison term.A judge in Kern County ruled that Parker Chamberlin will not get parole or a reduced sentence. Advocates had argued Chamberlin deserved leniency because he’s been a model prisoner. Letters from Chamberlin’s grandparents (the victim’s mother and father) implored the judge not to trust him. The judge sided with the grandparents and decided to deny Chamberlin’s petition.
