BPD TO HOLD CHECKPOINT FOR CINCO DE MAYO

Bakersfield Police will be looking for people who should not be driving after celebrating Cinco de Mayo this weekend.Specially trained officers will be at a checkpoint Saturday night at a location known for problems with DUI crashes, where they will be screening drivers for both drugs and alcohol until early Sunday morning. Publicizing the checkpoints is known to reduce impaired driving incidents by up to 20-percent.
