The Bakersfield woman who died when the Buick sedan she was riding in hit a pole was 66 year old Josefa Castanon Garcia. Police say the man who was driving struck the curb on Old River Road and White Lane Thursday afternoon and he has major injuries. The front of their Lacrosse was demolished.
