We know more about a shooting last week at one Bakersfield Motel 6. The KCSO now says the victim shot dead has been identified as 30-year-old Daniel Gil of Bakersfield. It was Thursday when deputies responded to the motel off Brundage Lane north of the 58 Freeway. They found Gil and rushed him to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Two other victims made their way to the hospital as well. They are recovering.
