SAN FRANCISCO (AP) – PG&E Corp. says it plans to move its headquarters out of San Francisco across the bay to Oakland as it nears resolution of its bankruptcy case. The company made the announcement Monday that it will make the move by 2023, selling its two downtown San Francisco office buildings to save money on real estate. PG&E will also close its other offices in the east San Francisco Bay Area and move those to the new headquarters. The move will need approval from California’s utility regulator, the Public Utilities Commission. PG&E is awaiting a federal judge’s decision on its plan to exit bankruptcy.
