No Power Outages Yesterday, Expect Them Tonight

(Sacramento, CA) — More than three-million homes in California are expected to lose power today, and that’s just the beginning. Rolling blackouts are likely through Wednesday night as a heatwave takes its toll on the state’s electric grid. Governor Gavin Newsom signed an emergency order to free up energy capacity, admitting they “failed to predict and plan” for the shortages, calling it “unacceptable.” Most outages will last about two hours.
