(Fresno County, CA) — A California helicopter pilot has been killed in a crash while fighting a wildfire in Fresno County. Cal Fire officials report the pilot was assigned to a water-dropping mission on the Hills Fire, south of Coalinga. The pilot, who was not identified, was the only person onboard. The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the crash.
