CA Lawmaker Pushes for Indoor Dining

(Sacramento, CA) — A California lawmaker is encouraging restaurants to ignore the state’s health orders and take dining inside. Assemblyman James Gallagher took to Facebook and wrote there is no reason for some of these rules, especially with the smoke and poor air quality caused by the wildfires. Gallagher met with the California Department of Public Health and asked if the state would consider a waiver for indoor dining. He says Butte County Public Health is allowing restaurants to open inside temporarily until the smoke clears. Restaurants without clearance could face fines for taking such action
