BPD Searching for Fatal Hit and Run Suspect

Bakersfield Police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect vehicle in a fatal hit and run.

On 2/12/21, at 9:48 PM, Officers were dispatched to a vehicle verse pedestrian in the 100 block of Brundage Lane. Officers located one adult male down in the roadway suffering from major injuries, and discovered the involved motorist had fled the scene. The pedestrian was transported to KM, but was later pronounced deceased by medical personnel. The suspect vehicle is believed to be an unknown model Dodge.

The name of the deceased will be released by the Kern County Coroner’s Office at a later date.

Video surveillance footage of the collision was located by investigators and the suspect vehicle involved in this incident is believed to be: White Dodge SUV, possible Journey, with front end damage
