BPD Investigating Postal Worker Robbery

A female suspect with her hand in her pocket threatened a postal worker before stealing packages from a truck. On Sunday, June 27, 2021 at approximately 9:16 A.M., Bakersfield Police officers responded to the 4300 block of Belle Terrace for a robbery that had just occurred. Officers made contact with an adult female postal worker who advised she was delivering mail to a community mailbox when she was approached by:

Suspect 1) Hispanic female adult, approximately 27 years of age, 5’6” tall, blonde shoulder length hair, wearing a red hooded sweatshirt and dark blue boxer shorts

Suspect 2) Hispanic male adult, 30’s, 5’10”-5’11” tall, short black hair, dark skin, possible tattoos on face, wearing an oversized gray t-shirt

Both suspects arrived in a:
Gold, older model, 4-door vehicle, no plates

The suspects demanded the keys to the postal vehicle, and removed multiple packages and the victim’s purse from it. They loaded the items into the suspect vehicle, and fled the scene.

The investigation is ongoing.
