Date Set for Newsom Recall Election

After widespread frustration due to the Governor’s handling of the coronavirus pandemic, the date has been set for his recall election. The date has been set by the lieutenant governor for Sept. 14. This comes after enough recall petition signatures were verified by the election officials to put the recall on the ballot.

While in Bakersfield, Governor Newsom addressed his recall saying he hopes residents understand that California’s handling of the pandemic has been better than other states with our economy projected to be superior to other states.

The recall vote will be a two part question. The first part is a “yes or no” question asking if the governor should be recalled. The second part, if answered yes, will ask who should replaced him.
