Good Samaritan Leads Police to Carjacking Arrest

The Bakersfield Police Department has taken a man into custody after allegedly carjacking another person at knife-point. The full release can be seen below:

On December 5th, at about 6:27 PM, officers of the Bakersfield Police Department responded to the 2400 block of Christmas Tree Lane, regarding a carjacking with a knife had just occurred. While enroute, officers were updated that the stolen vehicle was involved in a hit and run collision at Mount Vernon Avenue and Panorama Drive while fleeing the area. A good Samaritan directed officers to the suspect who fled the collision on foot. Danny Robles (34) of Bakersfield, was taken into custody with no incident.

Robles is on active Post Release Community Supervision and was placed under arrest for carjacking, an unrelated felony arrest warrant, an unrelated misdemeanor arrest warrant and felony hit and run.
