The Bakersfield Police Department has arrested one suspect and is looking for another after a fatal street race in Bakersfield Wednesday evening.
The victim has been identified as 19-year-old Bianca Danielle Flores of Arvin.

On Wednesday, February 2nd, 2022, at 6:18 P.M. the Bakersfield Police Department responded to the 4100 block of Panama Lane regarding an injury collision involving three vehicles.
An adult female driver, age 19, sustained major injuries from the collision and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The identity of the decedent will be released at a later date by the Kern County Coroner’s Office. The decedent’s passenger, an adult female was transported by ambulance to a local hospital with moderate injuries. An adult female in another vehicle was transported to a local hospital by private means suffering from minor injuries. An adult male, who was driving a Ford Mustang suffered moderate injuries and was transported by ambulance to a local hospital.
Preliminary investigation revealed the driver of the Ford Mustang was engaged in an illegal street racing speed contest with a motorcycle, when for unknown reasons he crossed into oncoming traffic striking the vehicle driven by the decedent head on. The Ford Mustang became fully engulfed in flames after the collision and Fire personnel extinguished the fire upon their arrival. The motorcycle fled the scene and has not been located. The Major Collision Investigation Team has assumed this investigation.
The driver of the Ford Mustang, Iqbal Singh (age 35) has been arrested and charged with Murder, Vehicular Manslaughter with Gross Negligence, Engaging in a Motor Vehicle Speed Contest and Reckless Driving with Great Bodily Injury. Singh once cleared by medical staff for his injuries will be booked into the Kern County Jail.
