Deputies with the KCSO are investigating a fatal shooting in Wasco on Sunday.

A shooting overnight in Wasco has left a man dead. Few details are available, but Kern County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the 500 block of D Street near 5th Street around 9:30 for reports of shots fired. A man was found with multiple gunshot wounds, and pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel.

The Kern County Coroner’s Office will release his identity pending notification of next of kin.
