Bakersfield Museum of Art Providing Free Memberships to Kern County Teachers

Kern County educators have an opportunity to received a memberships to the Bakersfield Museum of Art for an entire year.

According to Lauren Marty with BMoA, a little more than half of the allotted 200 passes remain.

Bakersfield, CA (March 1, 2022) Bakersfield Museum of Art (BMoA) announces its Education Partner Program, which offers up to 200 free Individual memberships to active kindergarten through high school teachers at Kern County school sites. Memberships are valid for one full year.

The available memberships entitle recipients unlimited free visits to museum exhibitions, exclusive invitations to exhibition openings, discounted admission to BMoA special events, a 10% discount on gift shop merchandise, and discounted tuition for museum classes and lectures.

“Art education fosters creative thinking students learn how to approach a problem in new ways. And that skill is the cornerstone of innovation,” says BMoA Executive Director Amy Smith. “We want to make sure all children in Kern County have access to the wonderful programs we offer here. One way to do that is to make sure their teachers know more about what we do.”

To apply for the program, teachers must visit bmoa.org/educatormemberships. Memberships are available on a firstcomefirstserved basis.
