The Bakersfield Police Department is searching for a man wanted for a homicide in Downtown Bakersfield.

The Bakersfield Police Department is asking the community for any information regarding the whereabouts of Kira Burton II (25) of Bakersfield. Burton has an active arrest warrant for murder regarding the March 22nd, 2022, shooting death of an adult male in the intersection of California Avenue and P Street.

Burton is described as a: Black male adult, 25 years of age, black hair in long braids, brown eyes, approximately 5’09, 145 pounds

Last seen driving a: Black 2012 Acura TL, 4-door, tinted windows, California License Plate #6XAW810

Burton II is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached by the public. Both Burton II and the black Acura used in the homicide are still outstanding.
