Two Juveniles Arrested for Women’s Stabbing Death

Investigators with the Kern County Sheriff’s Office have arrested two teenagers after a women was killed in her Oildale home.

On July 7, 2022, at approximately 7:10 a.m. deputies were dispatched to the 1200 block of Arthur Avenue in Bakersfield for a report of a possible deceased female in the residence. When deputies arrived, they located a female inside the residence suffering a possible stab wound. Fire and medical personnel arrived and determined the female was deceased. Homicide detectives were called out and assumed the investigation. During the investigation two suspects were identified, a male juvenile and a female juvenile.

On July 8, 2022, at approximately 2:00 p.m. the suspects were located at the 2700 block of Peerless Avenue. They were both taken into custody and subsequently booked into Juvenile Hall for charges of murder and conspiracy to commit murder.

The victim has been identified as 54-year-old Michelle Louise Taylor of Bakersfield.
