LADY ROADRUNNERS GET PLUSH NEW DIGS

A $3-million expansion of the women’s locker room at Cal State Bakersfield is being shown off to the community…and prospective players. CSUB Director of Athletics Kyle Conder says fans, fundraising, and facilities are key to successful teams…”They’ll build relationships here, they’ll lift each other up here, and they’ll build bonds here. I look forward to our teams celebrating big wins with their fellow Roadrunners here, and preparing to pursue championships here.” All six Lady Roadrunners teams now have their own space to gather and store their gear. The renovation was a collaboration of state and private donors and coincides with the 50th anniversary of Title IX giving women greater opportunities in sports. Fundraising is underway for similar renovations to the men’s locker facility.
