STATE WATER PROJECT ALLOCATIONS RAISED FOLLOWING STORMS

State Water Project allocations are jumping from five to 30-percent for contractors who depend on the water supply. Director of the Department of Water Resources Karla Nemeth says all that rain and snow last month have made a “dent” in the drought, but it’s still early in the rainy season…

The State Water Project is supplied by Lake Oroville and San Luis Reservoir, which have gained a combined 1.62 million acre-feet of water from the storms.
