A convicted child molester who sexually assaulted two underage Kern County girls was denied parole on Tuesday.
The Board of Parole Hearings found that Ronald Thompson continues to pose a current and unreasonable risk to public safety.
The Kern County District Attorney’s Office says Thompson sexually assaulted two girls under 14 years old.
Two girls who testified at trial against Thompson were 11 and 13 years old..
Thompson told the jury during the trial in February 2007 that he never sexually assaulted or touched the girls inappropriately.
He was convicted on several counts and was sentenced to 15 years to life in March 2007.
