The California Highway Patrol will conduct a DUI and driver’s license checkpoint in eastern Kern County Friday.

The operation will be held from 7 p.m. Friday to 2 a.m. Saturday at an undisclosed location.

Officers will be looking for drivers with possible signs of alcohol and/or drug impairment.

Communities served by the Mojave area of CHP include Boron, Mojave, Rosamond, InyoKern, and Tehachapi.

Funding was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
