A 71-year-old Bakersfield man is in custody on suspicion of possessing and sharing child sex abuse material.

Neal Pendelton was arrested Monday following a search of a home in the 1000 Block of Shattuck Avenue in northeast Bakersfield.

The Kern County Sheriff’s Office, Homeland Security Investigations, the FBI, and the United States Secret Service assisted in the investigation.
