A juvenile has been arrested following a fatal shooting in southwest Bakersfield.

Police responded late Friday night to the 5600 block of Stockdale Highway after several gunshots were reported.

Officers found a man suffering from a gunshot wound and saw a minor suspect running away. They found a gun believed to have been used in the shooting.

The victim was pronounced dead at Kern Medical. The shooter was identified by a witness.
