The California Highway Patrol will hold a DUI and driver license checkpoint this weekend in an unincorporated area of Bakersfield.
The checkpoint runs Saturday from 6:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. Sunday.
Officers will check for signs of impairment and for valid licenses.
The CHP says checkpoints help prevent crashes and save lives.
Nearly 3,000 people have died in alcohol-related crashes in California over the past three years.
